Syanne takes us backstage at recent shoot for Savin London…

This was going to be my third time working with designer Andrey Savin and I was looking
forward to seeing some familiar faces on set. We shot the last look book together, so I already
had high expectations of a fun day trying on a number of his luxurious bridal gowns. This time
however, we were shooting in his very newly opened shop in Greenwich market.

When I arrived, I was so delighted to see how Andrey’s design talents had spilt over into the
look of the store. Wonderful pieces of antique furniture, reclaimed and upholstered (all by Andrey
himself) with indulgent fabrics as well as fresh flowers from the market, filling nearly every space –
it was breathtaking! I greeted the photographers who were setting up the lighting and nipped
downstairs to hair and make up.

Carina & Sam, from Powder Blue Artistry, were all ready set up for my arrival. They quickly
got to work and in no more than an hour I was bridal ready! Now with soft waves and a fresh –
faced glow I joined the rest of the crew on set fro some lighting tests and donned my first
outfit of the day.

From there on it was pretty routine, shooting gorgeous dress after gorgeous dress on the
fairy tale garden set. Hours of swirls, twirls in folds of satin and lace with photographer Curtis
Gibson and his photographic team making sure to capture the most elegantly
flattering moments.
