Below Emily talks London Fashion Week and Mayrafedane handbags…
These last few days have been a wonderful, surreal blur. I touched down in London on a warm
afternoon after a red-eye flight from New York, just in time for London Fashion Week. I was
greeted by the most beautiful day. Autumn has definitely arrived in London, it was a cool 65
degrees and (surprise) sunny.
Speaking of London Fashion Week brings me to the topic of today’s post, MAYRAFEDANE.
This London based brand was co-founded by Maya R. Fedane, the company’s creative
director, and her husband Raaj Fedane in 2012, and has been delivering custom-made
goods to their clientele ever since.
I absolutely cannot get enough of this beautiful bag from their recent Ethno Pop collection.
According to their website, the concept of this collection was inspired by savior vivre,
nonchalance, spontaneity, elegance: classic mixed with playfulness. The blush color is my
new favorite neutral, and the bold, geometric shapes, colors, and patterns give this structured
satchel a bold touch. I love a wrist grip for spring, and this bag’s chic, ladylike structure.
I paired it with a simple black dress, in order to let the bag make a statement. I also think this
purse would look great with white jeans, a white tank, and a camel coat for those early,
breezy days of spring.
Be sure to check out Maya’s beautiful collection when you can.
